AFA Technical Workshop Concludes in Munich with a Specialized Visit to Catalyst R&D and Manufacturing Facilities
The technical workshop organized by the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) in Munich, Germany, from 20–22 July 2026, concluded today with a field visit to the Research & Development center and catalyst manufacturing facilities.
During the visit, participants explored the R&D framework, the latest technologies used in catalyst development and manufacturing, and their role in enhancing industrial processes, reducing energy consumption, and lowering emissions, thereby supporting the sustainability of the fertilizer industry.
The visit provided participants with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the stages of research, development, and production, while exploring the latest innovations and industrial applications that contribute to the advancement of the fertilizer industry. It also facilitated technical knowledge exchange and discussions on global best practices in catalyst technologies and their applications in fertilizer plants.
Participants highlighted that the workshop served as a specialized technical platform for strengthening knowledge exchange and collaboration between Arab and international companies, while showcasing the latest trends and technologies that enhance fertilizer plant efficiency and support the industry's journey toward sustainability and carbon neutrality, in line with the rapid transformations taking place across the global fertilizer sector.
