With strong participation and focused technical and economic discussions, AFA explores the future of energy markets and low-carbon ammonia on the third consecutive day of its Economic Workshop.

The Arab Fertilizer Association’s Economic Workshop continues for its third consecutive day in Istanbul, Türkiye, opening today’s sessions with a discussion on the outlook for fertilizer and energy markets in the Middle East.

Wood Mackenzie is presenting developments in global ammonia and fertilizer markets, the risks and opportunities related to prices across nitrogen, phosphate and potash markets, as well as European ammonia demand in light of gas price volatility, changes related to the EU Emissions Trading System and CBAM, and the outlook for the next wave of nitrogen supply.

Experts from Poten & Partners are also discussing the evolving regulatory landscape and emerging low-carbon ammonia markets, the impact of corporate net-zero commitments, the future of low-carbon fertilizers and new ammonia end uses, along with methodologies for forecasting demand and prices in energy transition markets.
